Diagnostic Imaging Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating CT equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them to capture optimal images requested by the physician.
- Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and prepare and operate the CT scan equipment.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies, and providing care to patients.
- Prepare examination rooms for CT scans and/or invasive procedures.
- Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- ARRT-CT certification preferred.
- CT experience preferred.
