Job Title: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Dr. Arenia C. Mallory Community Health Center, Inc. as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing basic care to patients, working under the supervision of a registered nurse or doctor. The LPN will be responsible for recording patient medical history, taking and recording vital signs, observing patients under treatment, and assisting with daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record patient medical history accurately
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate
  • Observe patients under treatment to identify progress and side effects of medications
  • Monitor patients' condition, including fluid intake and output, and compose patient charts
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as eating, bathing, and dressing
  • Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, and clean and dress wounds
  • Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
  • Communicate with patients' families or friends to provide advice, comfort, and release instructions
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an LPN or similar role
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
  • Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry
  • Perfect physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Successful completion of LPN license program

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 8am to 5pm, Friday: 8am to 2pm
