Job Summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electronics Specialist to support the development and maintenance of cable television performance test equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with test, repair, and support of digital and RF cable system monitoring products. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and supporting the use of production electronic test equipment, as well as diagnosing circuit problems to component level. Experience with networking and Linux OS is desired.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic circuits of digital and RF cable system monitoring products down to the component level.
  • Change through-hole and surface mount components, including high-density and BGA integrated circuits.
  • Determine repair charges for devices out of warranty and data entry of product repair database.
  • Support manufacturing operations and personnel, as necessary, and troubleshoot and support the use of production electronic test equipment.
  • Networking, Linux OS, and Microsoft Access experience is desired based on experience.


Requirements

  • Associates degree, trade school certification, or 4+ years of work experience.
  • Experience working on component-level repairs of surface mounts.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering and desoldering.
  • Experience providing manufacturing support.
  • SMT/BGA component replacement experience.
  • Able to work independently and take initiative.
