Responsibilities

As a Hearing Officer with the Domestic Relations Branch of Family Court, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting hearings and making recommendations regarding child support under the guidance of the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Supervising a team of Support Hearing Officers and managing the daily operation of the Hearing Officer Unit for support cases
  • Making presentations on behalf of the Domestic Relations Branch as requested by judicial and administrative superiors

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all cases are handled in a fair and impartial manner, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect for all parties involved.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Member in good standing of the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania
  • Five years of experience with an active law practice concentrating in the field of domestic relations law

Prior experience as a court-employed attorney in the Domestic Relations Branch or as a Judicial Law Clerk to a Family Court Judge is highly desirable.
