Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Facility Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining order and safety within a correctional facility, ensuring the well-being and security of residents at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain discipline and order within the facility through effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Provide direct supervision and support to residents during meals, recreation, and work assignments.
  • Engage in various interchangeable work areas, including armory/key control, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, and more.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents.
  • Participate in pre-service correctional officer training and maintain any required certifications or licenses.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of pre-service correctional officer training.
  • A valid driver's license and clear driving record.
  • Ability to work any post assignment on any shift.
