Bridge Design Engineer II Position

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Bridge Design Engineer II to join our team in Murray, Utah. As a key member of our transportation structures design team, you will be responsible for preparing structural designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation structures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation structures.
  • Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts, and structure type analysis evaluations.
  • Use current engineering design software to coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.
  • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
  • Identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree plus 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural.
  • Demonstrated experience applying all major structural design codes.
  • Demonstrated experience using 3-D structural analysis software (CSi, SAP2000, MIDAS, RISA 3D).
