Key Responsibilities:- Perform engineering activities related to instrument and fixture design.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to meet project goals.
- Develop expertise in various aspects of bioMerieux products and equipment.
- Evaluate new technologies for use in products and equipment.
- Participate in project and team meetings, and present project updates to large groups and executive groups.
- Document work thoroughly and participate in risk assessments.
- Collaborate across departments to achieve project objectives.
- Proactively seek self-training and development opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a medical device or life sciences company.
- Proficiency in software packages such as SolidWorks, Zemax, COMSOL, and Minitab.
- Advanced knowledge of bioMerieux products, design control, risk management, and change control.
- Scientific and biotechnology knowledge.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and critical listening skills.
