Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform engineering activities related to instrument and fixture design.
  2. Communicate effectively with team members and leadership to meet project goals.
  3. Develop expertise in various aspects of bioMerieux products and equipment.
  4. Evaluate new technologies for use in products and equipment.
  5. Participate in project and team meetings, and present project updates to large groups and executive groups.
  6. Document work thoroughly and participate in risk assessments.
  7. Collaborate across departments to achieve project objectives.
  8. Proactively seek self-training and development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a medical device or life sciences company.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as SolidWorks, Zemax, COMSOL, and Minitab.
  • Advanced knowledge of bioMerieux products, design control, risk management, and change control.
  • Scientific and biotechnology knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication and critical listening skills.
