Position Overview:

At Lockheed Martin, we are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our AMMM Development/Production Project Engineering team. This role will support various aircraft platforms, including C-130, C-5, and P-3, across multiple support contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a diverse portfolio of complex system and technical development initiatives from initial concept through design, implementation, testing, manufacturing, deployment, sustainment, and modifications.
  • Ensuring alignment with engineering and technology strategies while managing technical feasibility and risks.
  • Facilitating planning and execution across all engineering teams to fulfill contract requirements related to cost, schedule, and technical specifications, while meeting customer expectations.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for program management and senior leadership regarding program execution.
  • Creating innovative and scalable standardized processes to enhance agility and flexibility.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility requiring special access.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in aircraft design, testing, integration, or sustainment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles.
Desired Skills:

  • Experience in Software, Systems, or Aircraft.
  • Familiarity with ServiceFLO.
  • Knowledge of EVMS or Cost/Schedule Principles.
  • Experience in Proposal Development / APTS.
  • Understanding of Contract Language.
  • Technical Supplier/Sub-Contract Management and Integration experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Risk/Opportunity Identification.
  • A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.
Security Clearance:

This position requires a government security clearance; therefore, you must be a US Citizen to be considered.

Work Environment:

This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both remote and on-site work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Specific weekly schedules will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule:

We support various alternate work schedules, providing flexibility to our employees. Options include standard 40-hour work weeks or condensed schedules, allowing for additional time away from the office.
