Position Overview: We are seeking a Chef to craft a diverse range of soups, salads, and entrees for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a daily preparation list to prepare and package food items for clients.
  • Engage in large batch cooking and preparation of soups, salads, entrees, and occasional baked goods.
  • Implement and maintain safety and sanitary protocols.
  • Contribute to menu planning and recipe development.
  • Assist with food storage and inventory management.
  • Foster a welcoming environment for a diverse group of volunteers.

Work Schedule: The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess at least two years of professional cooking experience in a high-volume setting and hold food safety certification.

Additional Skills: Advanced knowledge of large batch cooking techniques, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, excellent time management abilities, strong communication skills, and a commitment to diversity are essential.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain physical mobility, including grasping, stirring, stooping, walking, pushing, and standing for extended periods while ensuring proper balance.

Compensation: This position offers an hourly rate of $28.85.
