Job Summary:

Nationwide Technical & Executive Search is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues on machinery, as well as performing emergency and general maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues on machinery, including PLC issues.
  • Maintenance Activities: Perform emergency and general maintenance activities, including weekend and off-shift work.
  • Project Installation: Assist with project installation activities as assigned by the Process Engineer.
  • Electrical Malfunctions: Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in equipment and related components, diagnosing and correcting the problems quickly to avoid production delays.
  • Safety Procedures: Ensure company safety procedures are being adhered to.
  • Inventory Management: Regularly monitor and manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, and identify gaps.
  • Safety Walkthroughs: Complete a regular (weekly) safety walkthrough and compile a facility report at the detail level.
  • Plant Safety Initiatives: Participate in all plant safety initiatives.
  • Safety Related Issues: Prioritize and repair safety-related issues as defined by the safety committee and/or STOP Card program.
  • Reporting: Provide a regular (weekly) report of safety-related repairs and status to the Process Engineer.
  • Training: Complete computer-based training on a monthly basis or when assigned.
  • Compliance: Compliance with all policies, procedures, and rules as established.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to communicate issues and solutions to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Consultation: Consult and communicate regularly with all functional teams in the facility.
  • Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Journeyman License, High school diploma, Associates degree a plus, Bachelor's degree preferred, Experience with HMI equipment preferred, Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC experience preferred, Heavy industry experience with electrical systems and production equipment required, Two or more years of experience in electrical maintenance required, Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems a plus.

Requirements:

  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid Massachusetts Journeyman License.
  • Education: High school diploma, Associates degree a plus, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience in electrical maintenance required.
  • Skills: Experience with HMI equipment preferred, Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC experience preferred, Heavy industry experience with electrical systems and production equipment required, Proficiency in preventative maintenance systems a plus.
