About the Role

Mead & Hunt, a leading professional services consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level civil engineer to join our aviation group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing plans and specifications, analyzing and preparing engineering reports, and construction cost estimates for various airport design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop plans and specifications for airport design projects
  • Analyze and prepare engineering reports and construction cost estimates
  • Perform drafting tasks in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets
  • Assist with construction administration tasks, including working in the field at project sites
  • Read and interpret FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to utilize in project designs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or higher
  • Valid driver's license and some travel required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D software programs
  • Civil/transportation design coursework
  • Construction field tasks, including site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project software programs
