Internal Medicine Physician

A prominent healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine Physician with a specialization in HIV to enhance their team. This role focuses on delivering thorough medical care to individuals living with HIV, alongside managing a variety of other health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat both acute and chronic health issues, including but not limited to hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes.
- Oversee a patient panel comprising individuals living with HIV and other relevant cases requiring infectious disease management.
- Administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical interventions aimed at treating or preventing health complications.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures, test outcomes, and treatment plans.
- Continuously monitor patient health, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
- Provide guidance on health and wellness practices.
- Conduct appropriate screenings based on patient age and health status.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and quality standards as mandated by regulatory bodies.
- Facilitate referrals to other medical specialists when indicated.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with affiliated hospitals and healthcare professionals.
- Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic institution.
- Completion of a recognized Residency program.
- Possession of a valid New York State Physician License (M.D. or D.O.) with a clean record.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and compliance with board standards.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Valid DEA registration for medication prescription.
- Strong analytical skills for developing effective treatment plans.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual capabilities (English and Spanish or Chinese).
- Experience in community or ambulatory health settings.
