We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Writer to join our team at Houston Methodist Academic Institute. As a key member of our research and education initiatives, you will play a vital role in facilitating the dissemination of scientific knowledge and achievements within our department.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with principal investigators to develop high-quality written scientific documents, including grant applications, publications, and scientific manuscripts.
- Provide editorial support and standardized language for administrative sections, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
- Facilitate the writing, editing, and preparation of technical documents, including protocols, reports, and manuscripts for publication.
- Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and manuscripts for editing, ensuring timely submission and compliance with federal, state, and local standards.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's or Ph.D. in biological science preferred.
- Three years of experience in science writing and editing, with a strong background in biomedical manuscripts and grant application processes.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and compliance with Houston Methodist policies and procedures.
