Position Overview

Masis Professional Group is seeking a dedicated individual for a direct placement opportunity as a 3rd Shift Molding Supervisor. This role is essential in overseeing the technical operations and personnel on the production floor during the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate effective communication with previous and subsequent Shift Supervisors, Technicians, and Engineers on a daily basis.
  • Maintain authority and control over the molding floor operations.
  • Verify daily production counts across all machines to ensure accurate product output.
  • Collaborate with the Molding Lead Operator to efficiently schedule personnel to machines, optimizing production performance.
  • Utilize Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) systems to monitor machine processes and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure that machine set-ups are conducted safely and promptly.
  • Initiate molding machines only after all set-up elements are completed, including verification and quality approval.
  • Address concerns raised by the Quality Department regarding manufactured products, working closely with Technicians and Engineers to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians to assess repair timelines and prioritize based on production needs.
  • Engage with Toolroom staff regarding tool availability and ongoing concerns.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of each machine at least three times per shift, addressing any issues immediately.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and ensure compliance among staff.
  • Encourage collaboration with Engineers and Technicians to enhance skills in injection molding processes and automation.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organization of manufacturing areas, ensuring proper equipment storage.
  • Adhere to and promote compliance with ISO-9001, ISO-13485, company policies, and safety procedures to safeguard personnel and property.
  • Support the corporate mission, values, and policies consistently.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required; a degree or trade school certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in injection mold set-up and processing is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Shift Leader or Manufacturing Supervisor is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution abilities.
  • Basic understanding of part and tool drawings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work a standard 40-hour work week with potential for overtime, including weekends.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods and walk within the facility.
  • Visual acuity with or without corrective lenses, including color differentiation and depth perception.
  • Auditory ability to hear alarms from distances up to 100 feet.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Successful completion of auditory screening.
