The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will serve as an independent member of the medical staff, providing inpatient psychiatric care to patients at the Arizona State Hospital. This role requires a strong understanding of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Prescribe psychiatric medication and treatment, and monitor patient progress towards treatment goals
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients
- Provide leadership to the multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing treatment plans
- Complete required documentation in the electronic medical record
- Attend hospital committees and medical staff meetings
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree
- Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- Valid level one fingerprint clearance card issued pursuant to A.R.S.
