**Job Summary**

NexAir is seeking a highly skilled Route Driver to join our team. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering compressed gases and hardgoods to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes a positive customer experience.
  • Upload, deliver, and download compressed gases and hardgoods to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documents to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations by communicating effectively and providing excellent customer service.
  • Identify and monitor customer needs to minimize or eliminate emergency deliveries.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and report any incidents or near-misses to management.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed, including coding, costing, and pricing.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional personal appearance at all times.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) year driving experience
  • CDL A or B with HAZMAT endorsement
  • Employee must meet all physical qualification standards imposed by the DOT
  • Clean MVR driving record
  • Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Basic computer skills with data input and order filling accuracy
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

**Working Conditions:**

  • Regularly required to stand and walk on concrete for an extended period of time
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and hazardous materials
  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock
  • Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions

**Classification:** Hourly, Non-Exempt Employee

Full-time, 8-hour shift with additional time as needed
