Job Summary

As a seasoned Electrical Department Manager at Synectics, you will oversee the Electrical Department, ensuring timely project completion and effective collaboration with other disciplines. Your expertise in electrical engineering and project management will drive success in our transit and transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Direct and manage the Electrical Department, overseeing staff workload and ensuring timely project completion.
Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments, assessing overall project and financial performance.
Lead project management and client contact responsibilities for selected projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
Supervise and coordinate with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm, fostering a collaborative environment.
Prepare construction drawings and specifications for public and private bidding, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain client relationships, communicating effectively to support project activities and resolve issues.
Provide technical leadership, production, and scheduling, ensuring quality control and cost proposals meet client expectations.
Participate in business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to grow the electrical team and enhance services.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer license required.
Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on transit or transportation infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
