Role Summary:

As the Lead Wiring Technician at Crusoe, you will oversee the daily performance of the wiring team, ensuring that schedules are met without compromising quality or safety. Your leadership will involve both managing the team and actively participating in project tasks when necessary, while also training team members to enhance their skills and efficiency.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Communicate daily production updates, including schedules, material shortages, and team priorities, ensuring all tasks are assigned and coverage is arranged for absences.
  • Report team status to the Senior Supervisor, highlighting production challenges and resource needs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the team's operations.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members, evaluating their skills and identifying training requirements.
  • Utilize basic hand tools and safety equipment, perform drilling and tapping of metal, and execute precise measurements and cable management tasks.
  • Interpret and work with electrical manufacturing drawings competently.
  • Possess a solid understanding of industry manufacturing practices.
  • Apply knowledge of cable sizing and the appropriate use of ferrules and crimp sizes.
  • Differentiate between power and control wiring and understand cable color coding.
  • Facilitate communication between project engineers and team members regarding manufacturing standards.
  • Implement field cabling techniques and secure cables effectively.
  • Install and connect field devices, including instrumentation and junction boxes.
  • Assemble and wire according to established standards.
  • Maintain adequate material levels to ensure seamless manufacturing processes.

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electronic assembly setting or as an electrician's apprentice.
  • Ability to read and interpret various blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Understanding of electronic and electrical principles.
  • Mechanical aptitude is essential.
  • Management experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capability to review and modify technical drawings as necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset are crucial.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential traits.
  • Must be prepared to undergo background and drug testing.

Compensation Details:

The compensation for this position ranges from $30 to $35 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Pay will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
