Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mammography equipment to obtain diagnostic images and ensure patient preparation, history, and positioning.
- Perform breast imaging procedures, including mammography, ultrasound assistance, cyst aspiration, and core biopsies.
- Calculate and select technical factors for optimal image quality and lowest permissible dose.
- Explain exams to patients, considering physical and emotional needs, while maintaining ethical standards.
- Work within regulations mandated by the State of Massachusetts, MQSA, and ACR.
- Utilize aseptic sterile techniques for invasive procedures and assist radiologists or physicians as needed.
- Maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and community personnel.
- Stay current on imaging techniques, procedures, and equipment developments.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT Certification (Radiography) and (Mammography).
- Valid Massachusetts License as a Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) and (Mammography).
- CPR Certification.
