About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to join our team at Jacobs. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing ServiceNow applications and services that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ServiceNow applications and services that meet business requirements.
  • Participate in implementing ServiceNow requirements and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Take ownership of complex business requirements and work them to completion.
  • Provide architectural controls and impact analysis for new requirements.
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement and partner with team leads to implement technical best practices.
  • Research and stay current in ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies.
  • Create and maintain a detailed view of the ServiceNow architecture.
  • Align ServiceNow platform capabilities to established business strategies.
  • Assist with estimating release level of effort and contribute to ServiceNow software releases.
  • Optimize stability and usability of ServiceNow through regular application maintenance.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and ticket resolution.
Requirements
  • Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 5+ years of experience with software design and development.
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow platform administration, on-premises self-hosted installations, ongoing operations, and maintenance of the environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, including Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom applications, and development methods.
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Experience working with Web technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with LDAP integration and Web Service integration such as API Web Services.
  • Experience with ServiceNow development APIs and Single Sign-On configuration and administration.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in ServiceNow systems administration and support.
  • Possess effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL v3 Foundations or additional ServiceNow Certification, including Certified Application Developer, Certified System Administrator, or Certified Implementation Specialist.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, HWAM, SWAM, and SPM modules.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and participation in software development life cycle.
  • Experience with requirements management.
  • Experience creating quick proof-of-concepts.
