About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.
  • Accurately pre-pack medications and restock code carts and stock kits.
  • Restock assigned areas, put away unused medications, and utilize inventory management procedures.
  • Order items, properly stock shelves, process returns, and identify vendor errors.
  • Accurately fill automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses, and floor stock.
  • Assist pharmacists in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
Requirements
  • One year of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital setting.
  • High School or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license.
