Position Overview: This role is essential for the initial assessment and thorough evaluation of submissions presented to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) for approval, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Las Colinas Declaration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Declaration, including supplementary declarations, and is familiar with Articles IV (ACC), V (Protective Covenants), and VI (Maintenance).
  • Evaluates ACC submissions against the established Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions, as well as historical ACC decisions on similar cases.
  • Prepares all necessary documentation to record meetings, identify submission deficiencies, and may involve written research, creation of LCA drawings, or drafting/CAD tasks.
  • Maintains communication with relevant stakeholders to clarify the architectural review process and address inquiries regarding the ACC and the Las Colinas Declaration.
  • Keeps an accurate record of all projects that have not received full ACC approval and ensures appropriate updates are made to the Database Administrator for inclusion in the LCA database.
  • Inputs all pertinent information into the ACC agenda promptly upon completion of the submission review.
  • Participates in each ACC meeting, providing initial presentations or assisting in the presentation of reviewed projects.
  • Addresses member inquiries and concerns, offering assistance as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for organizing and dismantling presentation materials for each meeting.
  • Ensures that all plan submissions and relevant correspondence are systematically integrated into the plan library and property files.
  • Maintains up-to-date LCA plats and maps of the Las Colinas development.
  • Conducts necessary site and construction inspections for project submissions, including videotaping and photography as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with a focus on architecture, engineering, construction, or urban design and planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of site and construction inspection processes, with the capability to conduct site inspections, including videotaping and photography.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Light.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and attitude.

Employment Conditions:

  • Professional appearance and attitude are required.
  • Driving a company vehicle is a key aspect of this role. A valid Class 'C' Driver's License is necessary prior to employment, along with insurability under the Association's insurance policy, and a commitment to remain unimpaired by drugs or alcohol while operating a company vehicle.
  • A pre-employment physical examination is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a drug test, driver's license verification, criminal history background check, credit check, and social security number verification is required.
