About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team at MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Procedures: Perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies, to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with hospital protocols, ensuring the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate sophisticated imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality images.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhere to all radiation safety guidelines and protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues promptly.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients about procedures and address any questions or concerns.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and participate in continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: Current certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a nuclear medicine specialization.
  • Licensure: State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and associated software, strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, focusing on patient care and comfort.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional on-call shifts.
