Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Adjustment Coder-Admin to join our team at Advanced Medical Manage. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

The Risk Adjustment Coder-Admin will be responsible for managing and training healthcare professionals on Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) coding. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Review medical records to identify and document claims and encounter coding information related to HCC.
  • Audit provider documentation of CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10 codes to ensure adherence with coding and CMS Risk Adjustment guidelines.
  • Evaluate HCC auditing processes and provide recommendations to improve overall provider documentation and coding.
  • Develop and implement ongoing provider education programs on HCC coding.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and meet productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HCC coding required.
  • Certified Medical Coder (CPC or CCS) certification required.
  • Knowledge of Medicare managed care and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain an accuracy standard of 95% and better.
