Job Description

Overview: The Logistics Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management of warehouse activities, including order fulfillment, packaging, transportation, receiving, storage, and inventory management. This role involves developing continuous improvement plans based on established objectives and strategies to consistently meet customer expectations.

  • Operational Management: Directs receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to warehousing and shipping by studying existing and new laws and advising staff on necessary actions.
  • Safety Standards: Establishes and monitors security procedures to maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing layout designs, inspecting equipment, and issuing repair work orders.
  • Staff Development: Trains and orients warehouse personnel to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Performance Management: Coaches and monitors warehouse staff to ensure job performance meets organizational standards.
  • Communication: Liaises with suppliers to ensure timely transmission of customs documentation and packing lists for shipments.
  • Logistics Coordination: Works with freight forwarders to ensure efficient handling of shipments.
  • Cost Management: Negotiates annual shipping rates with carriers to optimize logistics expenses.
  • Inventory Oversight: Monitors inventory levels regularly and provides detailed reports to management to facilitate ordering decisions.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enters product information into the inventory database upon receipt of shipments to maintain accurate stock levels.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Experience in the golf or fishing industry is preferred.
  • Proven track record of performance and comprehensive work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 BC is a plus.
