Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Admission: Greet patients promptly and register them for hospital admission, identifying yourself and explaining the registration process.
  • Insurance and Billing: Obtain patient insurance information, explain co-pay and deductibles, and collect upfront amounts due from patients.
  • Registration Information Processing: Process registration information courteously and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and customer service skills, actively listening to patients and addressing their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with members of other departments, physician's offices, and co-workers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient registration processes.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to operate office equipment, 45 wpm typing skills, medical terminology, and computer experience.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and people skills are essential for this role.
