Key Responsibilities- Registration and Admission: Greet patients promptly and register them for hospital admission, identifying yourself and explaining the registration process.
- Insurance and Billing: Obtain patient insurance information, explain co-pay and deductibles, and collect upfront amounts due from patients.
- Registration Information Processing: Process registration information courteously and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent communication and customer service skills, actively listening to patients and addressing their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with members of other departments, physician's offices, and co-workers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient registration processes.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
- Skills: Ability to operate office equipment, 45 wpm typing skills, medical terminology, and computer experience.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and people skills are essential for this role.
This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team to ensure seamless patient registration and admission processes.
