Job Description

Job Summary:

Sigma Defense is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to support the Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) N75 as a Surface Fleet Deployment Training Exercise Lead in Norfolk, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, assessment, and oversight of Large Scale Exercises (LSE).
  • Provide subject matter expertise on planning issues across the full spectrum of LSE exercise lifecycle.
  • Support, analyze, coordinate, and provide administrative responses to formal, informal, emergent, and routine tasks concerning planning and execution of LSE.
  • Provide recommendations and advice to USFF N7 government representatives in various forums, meetings, conferences, and working groups.
  • Understand and support exercise lifecycle events.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during planning, execution, and assessment events covering a broad range of planning topics.
  • Assist in coordinating and updating USFF N7 government representatives on the day-to-day execution of ongoing exercise lifecycle events.
  • Assist in researching, developing, and/or coordinating various LSE event 'hot wash' documents, After-Action Review (AAR), and post-event analysis.
  • Prepare calling, planning, and summary messages for exercise events.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Navy and/or Defense training operations, policy, doctrine, systems, and staff procedures.
  • Managing and prioritizing large, complex projects involving numerous stakeholders.
  • Team and/or project leadership experience.
  • Leading working groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Leveraging best practices and handling multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal impact on productivity/deliverables.
  • Engaging Senior Staff at the Flag Officer/Director/Manager level.
  • Conducting fleet training analysis/assessment to identify gaps, training needs, and solutions.

Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD Secret security clearance. A clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree is 2 additional years of Resource Band experience.
