  • Team Leadership: Train and manage kitchen personnel, supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Culinary Expertise: Develop and implement menus, estimate food consumption, and requisition or purchase food to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
  • Menu Planning: Select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes, and plan and price menus to meet customer expectations.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Catering and Events: Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations as needed.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a management role.
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience.
  • Culinary degree preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills.
