Job Summary

The Electrophysiology Nurse Manager is a key leadership position at Heart Hospital of Austin, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Electrophysiology Lab. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct nursing and support personnel in the Electrophysiology Lab
  • Coordinate unit/area clinical operations with other department disciplines
  • Plan, direct, and control staffing assignments to ensure effective coverage of the department
  • Oversee the work schedule for the Electrophysiology Lab, including interviewing and making recommendations for personnel decisions
  • Participate in unit activities, operations, and meetings with physicians and other departments
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards of care and observe the condition of facilities to identify potential problems
  • Participate in Process Improvement activities and coordinate with other departments on worker compensation claims and risk management
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse with current state licensure or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact required upon hire
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
  • 1+ year of supervisory/leadership experience
  • 3+ years of Electrophysiology lab experience required
