Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Lead and manage a team of medical laboratory scientists to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory performance and quality.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Inventory Management
- Manage inventory of reagents, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal use and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Staffing and Development
- Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure staff are up-to-date with the latest laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Education
- Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field, or equivalent with 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or related field, or equivalent.
- Licenses/Certifications
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent registry.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent registry with 10 years of experience.
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lead and manage a team.
- Ability to develop and implement quality control procedures.
- Ability to manage inventory and reduce costs.
- Ability to recruit, train, and develop staff.
- Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
