About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. As an AV Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining state-of-the-art AV systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement AV systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, and presentation systems, to meet the unique requirements of our clients.
  • AV System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain AV equipment, such as projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systems, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • AV Network Infrastructure: Manage AV network infrastructure and ensure integration with existing IT systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • AV System Upgrades: Plan and execute AV system upgrades and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Training and Documentation: Provide training to end-users on AV equipment operation and best practices, and develop and maintain documentation for AV system configurations and processes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure AV systems align with overall technology strategy, and work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Audio Visual Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in AV systems design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of AV technologies, including video conferencing, digital signal processing, and control systems, as well as experience with AV network protocols and IP-based AV systems.
  • Certifications: Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire, and TS/SCI Clearance required and eligibility to obtain CI Poly.
