Position Overview

  • The contractor is tasked with providing a qualified and licensed High-Voltage Electrician (HVE) to support the electrical infrastructure. The Superintendent will oversee all aspects of electrical operations, maintenance, and power generation.

Security Clearance Requirement

This role necessitates a current Top Secret security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the electrical systems while managing all operations, maintenance, and power generation tasks.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess the following certifications:

  • International Electrical Testing Association (NETA) Certification
  • Electronics Testing Technician (ETT) Level III Certification
  • Commonwealth of Virginia Licensed Master Electrician
  • NICET Electrical Power Testing Level III Certification
  • NFPA 70E Certification for Electrical Safety in the Workplace
  • OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour Construction Safety Certifications
  • ASNT Level II Infrared Thermography Certification
  • AVO Advanced Protective Relay Maintenance Technician Certification

Demonstrated Experience Required

  1. Experience with Doble Insulation Analyzers
  2. Familiarity with GE and SEL Relays
  3. Knowledge of Square D Equipment, including P24 Switch Gear and VR MV Breakers
  4. Experience with ASCO Transfer Switches
  5. Proficiency in Variable Frequency Drives by ABB, Yaskawa, Square D, and GE

Training Requirements

Completion of the following NJATC training courses is essential:

  1. IDEAL Manufacturer Training: Introduction to Power Quality and Voltage Monitoring
  2. Cable Splicing Certification
  3. Industrial Power Systems Training
