Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Scheduling
    • Greets and welcomes patients, collecting demographic and financial data, and enters information into electronic medical records.
    • Assists patients with telephone encounters, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
    • Directs patients to appointments or procedures.
  • Financial Transactions
    • Collects co-pays and/or remaining balances, obtaining signatures from patients as needed.
    • Responds to questions regarding financial assistance programs.
    • Performs End of Day reconciliation process.
  • Facility Management
    • Cleans and disinfects patient care areas, wheelchairs, and other high-touch surfaces.
    • Unpacks and restocks supplies, file cabinets, and other clinic resources.
    • May schedule appointments and assist with office communication needs.
  • Additional Duties
    • Performs weekly downtime checks.
    • Active participation in staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience meeting required functional competencies.
  • 1 year of basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Vocational degree.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
  • 0 to 2 years of customer service, clerical, or other business office environment experience.
  • 0 to 2 years of medical terminology knowledge.
