There exists an opportunity to educate medical students and contribute to the advancement of Family Medicine at the new campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Duties:
- Prepare and deliver lectures for the didactic training of residents and medical students.
- Evaluate the performance of Family Medicine rotations and assign appropriate grades.
- Engage in scholarly activities and research.
- Guide residents and students aspiring to enter Family Medicine residency, providing essential recommendations.
- Fulfill additional assigned responsibilities.
- Clinical Duties:
- Provide direct patient care at the Family Medicine Residency Clinic and in inpatient settings.
- Oversee residents and students during their clinical rotations.
- Participate in various meetings, committees, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review processes.
- Uphold professional ethical standards in all conduct.
- Maintain all necessary professional certifications and licenses.
- Foster professionalism by exemplifying and promoting professional behaviors.
Qualifications:
- A D.O. or M.D. degree is required for this position.
- The candidate must possess a valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the relevant state, along with a current DEA license and be insurable for medical liability.
- Board eligibility or certification in family medicine is essential.
- Applicants should exhibit a strong enthusiasm for teaching Family Medicine and a commitment to patient-centered care.
- Eligibility for the Federal State HPSA Loan Repayment Program is available for qualifying candidates.
