Key Responsibilities- Assist patients and families with personal and environmental problems that predispose illness or interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from medical care.
- Provide peer supervision for other staff and education for social work interns.
- Assist with program planning and organization of services.
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university or college (MSW) or Master's degree in Family Therapy (MFT).
- An American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
- Working knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and appeal procedures relative to Federal, State, and other reimbursement programs.
- Ability to speak another language is desirable.
- Excellent working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital.
- Acute Care Hospital experience.
- Licensed by the State of California Behavioral Science Examiners Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
