Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Phlebotomist to join our team at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. As a Medical Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients and delivering them to the laboratory for analysis. You will also be responsible for posting laboratory results on patient charts, filing laboratory results, and performing computer order entry.
Responsibilities:
Collect blood specimens from patients according to physician orders
Deliver blood specimens to the laboratory for analysis
Post laboratory results on patient charts
File laboratory results
Perform computer order entry
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Formal training in phlebotomy
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Phlebotomy certification or equivalent required
CPR preferred, ASCP preferred
