Advanced Endoscopy Specialist

Ochsner Health, a renowned integrated healthcare system, is seeking a skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join its esteemed team of advanced endoscopists. With over 36,000 employees and more than 4,600 physicians in various specialties, the organization operates 47 hospitals and numerous health centers across Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Gulf South.
About the Role:- The ideal candidate will work alongside a team of four experienced physicians providing comprehensive advanced endoscopy services, including complex ERCP, interventional EUS, and tissue resection.
- This high-volume center attracts referrals from the entire Gulf Coast region, having performed over 1,100 ERCPs and 1,600 EUS procedures last year.
- A strong background in ESD procedures is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform endoscopic procedures in dedicated interventional endoscopy suites with advanced support staff.
- Collaborate with a collegial GI group consisting of general GIs, hepatologists, IBD subspecialists, and advanced endoscopists.
- Enjoy an equally shared call schedule focused on advanced endoscopy, without general GI call coverage.
- Teaching opportunities are available, with the institution supporting a strong GI fellowship program and Internal Medicine residency programs.
