Job Description: As a Speech-Language Pathologist at North Texas Therapy & Home Care, you will provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, two or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders. You will define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, two or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
  • Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
  • Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
  • In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
  • Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
  • May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience

Requirements: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university, successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, CCC-SLP, license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas, experience in pediatrics required, home health experience preferred, feeding experience a plus, bilingual in Spanish a plus, and a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
