Job Overview

KUTV is looking for a dedicated Master Control Operator for the overnight shift. The successful applicant should be adaptable and eager to learn specialized software tools, with a strong capability in managing electronic systems. Attention to detail, proficient computer skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage broadcast operations, including the setup, control, and monitoring of television transmission equipment to deliver programs and advertisements to viewers.
  • Perform on-air switching, dubbing, and program transfers.
  • Acquire satellite feeds for broadcast purposes.
  • Prepare and operate equipment before, during, and after live broadcasts.
  • Assist in the production of newscasts and other live or recorded programming for television and multi-platform distribution.
  • Support station operations by collaborating with Engineering, News, and other departments.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Master Control Operator is preferred.
  • A degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
Work Schedule:
  • 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with weekends off.
