Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections on transportation construction projects, including highways, bridges, environmental work, traffic systems, and facilities.
• Prepare daily progress documentation.
• Supervise contractor teams to ensure adherence to contract specifications, interpreting contract documents to confirm safe construction practices and quality outcomes.
• Execute field tests on materials such as concrete slump/air, soil compaction, and hot mix asphalt (HMA).
• Document materials, labor compliance, safety measures, processing estimates, work orders, and necessary adjustments.
• Communicate on-site activities and daily progress to the Project Engineer through standardized reporting, responsible for calculating and determining payment quantities.

Essential Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of full-time inspection experience in highway, transit, and/or facilities construction.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel as required throughout the state.
• A reliable vehicle to report to various job sites.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Successful completion and maintenance of relevant inspection training and certifications (ACI, Soils & Aggregates, HMA, Traffic Control, Erosion & Sediment Control, etc.).

This position is also eligible for an annual bonus, targeting 2% of the employee's annual salary.
