Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Technician plays a vital role in the success of our team. Primary responsibilities include ensuring patients receive the necessary support to reach their recovery objectives and improve their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing a high-quality treatment experience, focusing on welcoming and comforting patients to prepare them for physical therapy
  • Display excellent customer service skills and provide encouragement when appropriate
  • Follow the plan of care established for the patient by the therapist
  • Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and accommodate patients' needs to support their success in therapy
  • Educate patients about equipment, ensuring safe and correct use
  • Assist patients with light exercises and strengthening techniques
  • Apply therapeutic modalities, such as heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as needed
  • Provide assistance with walking and ensure patients' safety
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, physicians, staff members, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Monitor and record patients' progress and changes

Requirements

  • No required education or experience necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ideal candidate will be pursuing a physical therapist or other healthcare degree
  • Commitment to Team's initiative of making diversity, equity, and inclusion a priority
