Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer Manager to lead our project controls team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, forecasting, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires technical skill and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Cost Engineer Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the project controls team, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
  • Coordinate routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects.
  • Identify restraints and their impact on the total project schedule.
  • Coordinate with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
  • Monitor and report critical path and schedule performance of the total project.
  • Collect and analyze alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.
  • Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, & reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Support the preparation of specific budgets in accordance with prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in project risk reviews.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
