Role Summary:
The Spiritual Care Provider II offers compassionate and timely spiritual support to patients, families, healthcare staff, and medical professionals through both individual and group engagements. This role involves the systematic collection of information to conduct ongoing spiritual evaluations of patients or families, as well as the development, implementation, and documentation of tailored spiritual care plans. The provider actively participates in interdisciplinary teams, recognizing the spiritual needs of patients and families, and creating specialized spiritual care services for designated areas of responsibility. Additionally, this position entails the planning and facilitation of rituals and worship services as required. The provider is responsible for gathering pertinent data to assess the quality and effectiveness of spiritual care and serves as an educational resource in both formal and informal settings regarding spirituality, the spiritual needs of patients and families, and the relationship between spirituality and health outcomes. Support and debriefing for staff following significant events are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications:
- A MASTER'S DEGREE IN DIVINITY, THEOLOGY, PASTORAL MINISTRY, OR SPIRITUALITY IS REQUIRED (unless the degree level is not mandated at the time of chaplaincy certification)
- COMPLETION OF AT LEAST FOUR UNITS OF CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION
- A MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR OF SUPERVISED MINISTRY EXPERIENCE IN A CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT POST-CERTIFICATION
- EXPERIENCE IN SPECIALTY AREAS AND PRESENTATIONS TO OR WITH OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS ARE PREFERRED
- CERTIFICATION BY APC, NACC, OR CPSP MUST BE APPROVED BY A LEADER OF THEIR FAITH COMMUNITY
