Job Summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Surveyor to join our Facility Design and Project Engineering department. As a Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of site surveys for construction projects. Your expertise will be essential in providing data on measurements to establish property, building, and site surface features at the INL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site field surveys to support the production of drawings depicting site information.
  • Prepare and maintain drawings, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys for review by engineering and management.
  • Research drawings and documents, and survey records and land titles to clarify information concerning building location and property boundaries.
  • Operate field survey equipment and use computer software such as Civil 3D to collect and record data of geological areas according to project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists to provide technical input on various tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support work assignments.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 2 years of relevant land surveying experience, or an advanced degree in a technical field.
  • Licensed land surveyor in the state of Idaho or the ability to obtain licensure within 2 years of hire.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
