Position Overview:


Under the general oversight of the Cardiology/Neurology department coordinator, the Neurodiagnostic Technician conducts non-invasive assessments within the realms of cardiology and neurology.

Additional testing and administrative responsibilities may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct EEG assessments for both inpatients and outpatients, including bedside evaluations and neonates in the nursery.

2. Prepare patients for EEG or EKG evaluations by providing clear instructions to ensure the effectiveness of the tests, applying electrodes, and positioning them appropriately.

3. Generate EKG tracings and review previous patient records for the cardiologist's analysis.
4. Maintain a daily record of EEG/EKG assessments performed.
5. Clarify the procedure to patients and gather their medical history pertinent to the examination.
6. Assist neurologists during EEG/EMG procedures.
7. Organize and prioritize tasks, define responsibilities, and execute assignments efficiently.
Qualifications:

- High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
- An Associate's degree or completion of an EEG Certification program is required.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- EEG Certification is essential.
- CPR Certification is required.
- EKG Certification is highly advantageous.
