Job Summary

Stratford University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, developing and implementing curriculum, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of our nursing programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design, implement, and evaluate the nursing education program, including developing and revising curriculum, teaching, and assessing student learning.
  • Academic Leadership: Participate in the development and implementation of academic policy and programs, and contribute to institutional effectiveness and strategic planning.
  • Student Success: Promote student success by engaging students in the learning process, providing academic advisement and counseling, and evaluating student admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies.
  • Professional Development: Remain current in your specialized discipline, participate in university-wide activities, and maintain appropriate records related to students, attendance, grades, and other documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Earned master's degree in nursing.
  • Experience: Teaching experience in the content area assigned, with a strong commitment to high academic standards and the ability to provide leadership in maintaining and strengthening academic excellence.
  • Licensure: Hold an unencumbered license in Virginia.
  • Professional Competence: Maintain professional competence through activities such as nursing practice, continuing education programs, conferences, workshops, seminars, academic courses, research projects, and professional writing.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires weekend and evening hours. The successful candidate will be based in an office/healthcare institution/agency setting, with opportunities to engage with internal and external constituencies, including faculty, students, alumni, and the larger professional community.
