Job Summary

OhioGuidestone is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Home Visitor to join our team. As a key member of our Help Me Grow Program, you will provide essential support to families with young children, promoting positive parent-child interactions and empowering them to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular home visits to enrolled families, providing guidance and resources to support their child's development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and children, fostering a sense of trust and confidence.
  • Teach effective parenting and child development skills, utilizing the Parents as Teachers curriculum.
  • Assist families in accessing community resources and services, ensuring they receive the support they need.
  • Provide crisis intervention and mediation as necessary, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure children receive the best possible care and support.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a registered nurse with relevant experience.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License and a safe driving record.
  • Ability to pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on building relationships.
