Role Overview:

Oversee all facets of advertising, media relations, event marketing, partnerships, promotions, and associated budgets and policies.

Develop and lead a high-performing marketing team in collaboration with key stakeholders within the North American marketing leadership.

This role requires the ability to operate at a strategic level while also engaging in detailed execution to ensure the organization is progressing towards its marketing and branding goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide robust leadership to the marketing team and other stakeholders to achieve objectives and ensure effective execution of marketing strategies.

Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Offer clear guidance, resources, training, development, coaching, and career advancement discussions for the marketing team.

Advocate for the customer perspective, ensuring that marketing plans and campaigns are customer-centric, informed by thorough analyses of business opportunities, market research, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.

Collaborate closely with internal teams, department heads, and external agencies to ensure consistent brand messaging across all aspects of the organization.

Formulate, develop, refine, and implement an annual marketing plan and calendar.

Establish long-term marketing strategies based on projections and objectives, in partnership with senior leadership.

Set clear, measurable objectives, develop budgets, and establish timelines to achieve volume, revenue, and profitability targets through effective management of marketing activities and budget allocations.

Ensure strong media relationships in key markets and explore opportunities for expansion into new markets.

Lead the execution of optimized media campaigns across all relevant platforms in collaboration with the media leadership.

Assess campaign performance and adjust strategies to enhance efficiency, consistently seeking opportunities for growth.

Represent the marketing function within the senior leadership team, advocating for the guest's voice and the brand.

Align social media strategies with regional leadership across all major platforms.

Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, target audience behaviors, and ensure a competitive market position through strategic pricing and innovative marketing initiatives.

Work with the guest experience team to ensure alignment with core brand values and guest expectations.

Develop and maintain effective strategic partnerships and relationships with various stakeholders, including community groups and external agencies.

Manage the creation and execution of key promotions and partnerships with strategic collaborators.

Collaborate with strategy and insights teams to advise on new events and attractions based on guest research and analytical insights, ensuring effective marketing of events to enhance guest experiences.

In partnership with Human Resources, implement a succession management program to meet current and future organizational needs.


Qualifications & Experience:


Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Experience: 7+ years of proven experience, with at least 5 years in a management role leading teams in relevant marketing disciplines such as advertising, media, public relations, promotions, partnerships, project management, and digital marketing.

Skills: Strong networking and influencing abilities across leisure, tourism, and business sectors. A passion for marketing with the capability to motivate and engage teams to achieve targets. Excellent presentation skills and confidence in representing the organization at senior levels.

Financial Acumen: Strong budget management skills and a demonstrated ability to develop programs that meet key revenue objectives.

Analytical Skills: Excellent judgment, self-initiative, and the ability to develop and implement short, medium, and long-term plans.

Communication: Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
