Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team at our home office in Newburgh, IN. As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our employees and management, gaining valuable experience in domestic and international accounting, finance, and general business processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete company overview training and management of assigned projects
  • Assist with month-end accounting closing and resulting reconciliation process, demand planning, and purchasing process
  • Participate in physical inventory counts, custom reporting, and presentation development
  • Improve multi-system reconciliation processes and document processes via narratives and flowcharts
  • Research and document company business development initiatives
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • Accounting, Finance, or Business degree candidate
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Good time management and multitasking skills
Working Conditions

The general working conditions for this position are an office environment. Occasional visits to the warehouse may be required, where safety precautions will need to be taken. The noise level in the office is usually low, while it can be moderate in the warehouse.

Physical Requirements

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop or crouch. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
