Key Responsibilities:
As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will:

  • Operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture detailed images of specific body areas as requested by healthcare providers.
  • Adjust equipment settings to optimize image quality, including voltage, current, exposure time, and distance.
  • Screen patients for safety regarding radiologic procedures, clearly explaining the imaging process and addressing any concerns.
  • Position patients accurately using necessary immobilization and protective devices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Evaluate the technical quality of images produced and document all imaging activities in the patients' electronic medical records.
  • Maintain rigorous quality control measures in line with industry standards.
  • Prepare the radiology department by ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrate composure in high-pressure situations and maintain regular attendance.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • A current Radiologic Technologist license.

Knowledge and Skills:
Successful candidates will have:

  • Understanding of radiology safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Proficiency in using radiology software and computer systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and medical staff.

Work Environment:
